that's chartreuse to you!

A couple of days ago, I came across this blogpost which, as well as putting a smile on my face, reminded me that I never showed you the green I settled on in the kitchen. And so without further ado I present
my puke green (that's chartreuse to you!) kitchen walls. We wanted a colour that would lift the dark wood and generally freshen-up the room. I feel we achieved this. Many thanks to my blog readers who chipped in with their input.

Brace yourselves, today there's some knitting content (\o/). A pair of monsters for a little guy who turned 1 a week ago. This is shamefully late - his mother asked me for this while pregnant with him! I never cared for the fiddly nature of knitted toys but didn't realise how much I hated it - suffice is to say I won't be knitting toys again in a hurry :(
But if I did, I'd be sure to use proper doll eyes. What do you think of my interpretation? :)

Lastly, in anticipation of something I've been wanting to try my hand at for a while, I bought
two dress patterns from here. With reasonable (£1.55) delivery charges and overnight delivery, I have no complaints. I chose the one on the left because it should be flattering on my pear shape and the one on the right because it's simply perfect for my skinny red belt. Both are beginner level patterns and will most likely sit on a shelf for quite a while before I look at them again.
Still, it's a start.

    Cute pattern choices.
I like the monsters! And the eyes. They're funky ;)
