Today, S and I visited Ilkley for the
100% handmade Designer Maker Fair which I found out about through dear emma designs' tweets. There were a fair (see what I did there?) number of stalls present and, as I've come to expect, many impressive wares to admire. My favourites are pictured below.

{Cathy with her designs. If you're wondering about
the name "Dear Emma", both her best friends are called Emma.} |

{here's the fabric bowl I couldn't bear to leave without. Though it's unusual for me to buy things
I can make for myself, Cathy's bowls are so well made I simply couldn't resist.} |

| {i snagged a fab bag pattern that i can't wait to make} |
'twas a lovely way to spend a day!
Tomorrow, S and I will witness the christening of two little cuties before heading back to their home for a hog roast! i LOVE a hog roast! This weekend cannot possibly get any better!
have a good one folks ;-)
Hmmm, from the background of your photos, I have the feeling we have the same Ikea carpet :)))
ReplyDeletedamn, you're good :-)
DeleteIt's quite fair to say that I love a good craft fair. ;) I have yet to find ones by my home that aren't low quality church rummage sales.
ReplyDeleteDo you know, that's typically how craft fairs here were like. But now real artisans have taken over and it's incredible!
DeleteIt looks like a lovely show. I'm not sure I'd've been able to leave that little fabric bowl behind either, it's very sweet!
ReplyDeletei think think I need the smaller bowl too. AND a tea cosy! :-)
DeleteThat looks lovely! You always find good ways to spend a weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly beat our planned 8-mile hike up dale and down.
DeleteGreat shots! I also don't buy things if I can make them myself, though I find this changing more and more as I realize how much I dislike sewing. I know how to sew and I can make cute things, but I have a huge disconnect somewhere in there. Oh well -- more of a chance to support other crafters! :)
