much smaller needles

My quilts have their binding on now

and I am pleased with both. 

The top quilt was machine quilted a while ago and so is now complete. On the other hand, my "cheat's quilt" (on the bottom) isn't quite so done. The plan is to hand quilt various patterns/shapes/designs onto it. I chose this quilt for my first attempt at hand quilting because the material is rather rustic and therefore suits the imperfections of hand quilting to a T.  

So with quilting hoops ordered, I thought I'd reacquaint myself with much smaller needles by whipping up this couple of cuties.

I first saw them on feeling stitchy and just had to give it a whirl. 

We like them.
