Up early today (as usual), the clocks going back an hour hasn't helped. I used to rise at 5 a.m. now I'm up at 4 a.m. Getting back to sleep seldom happens before the day's chores creep into my mind, then the list grows and before I know it i'm mopping the kitchen floor and putting my laundry away at 4:53 a.m. S chooses much saner hours to put away his laundry. Smart.
Lately, in lieu of cleaning I've taken to early morning walks. This is a guilty pleasure. I love being out and about while the world sleeps. In an ideal world, S would be a morning person too and we would walk miles to watch the sun rise. As it is, I've just about managed to override my fear of 'the night' and I'm pleased I did because town at night and town in the day is as different as...well, night and day.
The best part of the morning walk are the dog-walkers I'm beginning to recognise and walking (slowly) past stores where staff are stacking shelves ready for the day; my favourite being Betty's - I love watching the sweets go up.
It was raining rather heavily when I woke up so the morning walk was out of the question today. I was at that stage of making mental lists for the day when I remembered my swap presents. To hell with tidying up the work room, I've got yumminess to see to.

I need not say anymore about the chocolate bars, I'll leave it to your imagination as to how they will meet their sticky end.
On the other hand the project bag tickles me in the most unusual ways. Being something I make, I didn't imagine yet another project bag could tickle me so; but it does. I think it's the fact that someone made this especially for me, or it could be the butterflies, or the feel of the gorgeous fabric...I can't quite put my finger on it but I really like my latest project bag. Thanks Kittenster!
